Attending my first poetry reading, I though Michael Dickman was a memorable poet. He seems to full of life stories and has an unusual connection to flies, which many may find strange. It was also interesting to see the emphasis and deep emotions that he would add onto his poems when he read them to the crowd. The reading was different that how I interpreted some of his poetry but nevertheless was still enjoyable. The most unique part of the reading was probably his stories which seem to be at times random and incomplete. This however, may let readers to interpret them however they like.
