The most interesting part of Michael Dickman's poetry reading, in my opinion, was his weird affinity for flies. He had stated that he had weird dreams of flies, but some of his lines i found disturbing. The image he gave in his poem of his dad training the flies to walk along fingers, I found it disturbing and myself pictured a man with a fly on each finger. He would turn his hand around and each time the flies would move to the top part of his fingertips. I have no idea what it meant, but the fly imagery i found to be somewhat unsettling.
